About Brown Legal Nurse Consulting

Brown Legal Nurse Consulting helps attorneys make sense of the medical side of a case. We review the records with an eye toward the questions that matter: what changed, what was already there, what doesn't fit, what's missing, and what the documentation supports.

Sometimes that means a comprehensive chronology or merit review. Other times, it means exploring a specific question within the records. Our approach starts with understanding what you're trying to determine and finding the most useful way to get there.

FOUNDEr & legal nurse consultant

Meet Stefanie

Stefanie Brown, RN, brings more than 20 years of nursing experience to her work as a legal nurse consultant. Her clinical career has taken her through hospital nursing, surgical trauma, orthopedics, and home infusion care, giving her experience both as part of large clinical teams and making independent decisions in patients' homes.

Throughout her nursing career, Stefanie learned to walk into unfamiliar situations, understand what was happening, and determine what needed attention. That same way of thinking now shapes how she approaches medical records.

She works on both plaintiff and defense matters and has reviewed cases ranging from straightforward record sets to thousands of pages of complex medical history. Rather than approaching every case with the same predetermined product, she focuses first on what the attorney is trying to understand and then determines the most useful way to approach the records.
